In addition to memberships, SPI accepts donations of any amount to support our ongoing work. Please fill out the form at right to make a donation. Please also consider becoming a member.

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of stock to Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. are also greatly appreciated and will help us meet our current and long-term commitments to historic preservation & education, including maintenance and restoration of the Winter Street Center.

Donations of stock can reduce your tax burden by reducing capital gains tax. Stocks donated to us are taxed at the federal level based on the full fair market value of the shares as of the date they are donated/transferred.

  • Contact your broker, financial advisor or agent to inform them you would like to transfer shares of stock to Sagadahoc Preservation, Incorporated.

  • We will need:

    • Donor’s name, address, and email

    • Name of the bank, financial institution or agent’s name and phone number

    • Number of shares

    • Name of the stock(s) to be transferred to Sagadahoc Preservation, Incorporated

    • Our information and account numbers will be provided to you.

Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. is a 100% volunteer, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Every single cent is used toward maintenance and restoration of the Winter Street Center, and Mission-driven preservation goals.
